Dog Policy

While I have tried hard to be dog friendly, lately it has really become apparent this needs to change slightly for all to enjoy the camping ground; changes need to happen. The following

guidelines are now in place.
– All dogs must be pre booked in,
– Must be on a lead at all times,
– No barking and
– Dogs are not allowed in any of the buildings/cabins. Furthermore, during public holiday weekends/Christmas/New Year and other peak times, the additional will apply.
– Proof of local council registration
– Proof of vet up to date vaccinations
– Only one dog per booking
– $10 per night per dog.
I reserve the right to restrict the total of dogs in the camp each night.

Hidden Gem

Stayed 4 nights here and loved it. Very good facilities and the staff were very pleasant. Diesel the boss man cat is a great charmer. Located on an inlet with lovley sunrises and good views from a number of sites. Easy access to a number of other locations on the Catlins and a short drive to town at Owaka.

Nice and quiet place to be!

A beautiful place, very nice people ! All i need was there for kitchen and other, all perfect.
I was very lucky to meet at 21.30pm two seals just in front, they go back to the sea 1 hours later ! For people who think about taking nice pictures…, just get there, it’s really a nice and quiet place to be !
