Terms & Conditions – Pounawea Motor Camp

By making a booking and staying at Pounawea Motor Camp, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Bookings

  • All bookings are subject to availability.

  • A valid payment method is required to confirm your reservation.

  • Prices are listed in NZD and include GST unless otherwise stated.

2. Payment

  • Full payment may be required at the time of booking or prior to arrival.

  • Any additional charges incurred during your stay must be settled before departure.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations are subject to our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
Please refer to the Cancellation Policy for full details regarding refunds, no-shows, early departures, and changes to guest numbers.

4. Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in: After 1:00 pm

  • Check-out: Before 10:00 am

  • Early check-in or late check-out may be available by prior arrangement and may incur an additional fee.

5. Occupancy & Visitors

  • The number of guests must not exceed the maximum occupancy for your site or accommodation.

  • Please advise us prior to arrival if you need to change the number of guests.

  • Visitors are welcome during the day but must leave by 10:00 pm. Overnight visitors must be registered and may incur an additional charge.

6. Camp Rules & Behaviour

  • Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward other guests, staff, and property.

  • Excessive noise, disruptive behaviour, or unsafe conduct will not be tolerated.

  • Quiet hours apply between 10:00 pm – 7:30 am

  • No fires, open flames or fireworks are permitted in the camp, on the beach or outside the gates at any time!

  • Management reserves the right to ask any guest to leave without refund if these rules are breached.

7. Children

  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

  • Parents and caregivers are responsible for the safety and behaviour of children in their care.

8. Pets

  • Pets are permitted at Pounawea Motor Camp by prior arrangement only and may incur an additional fees.

  • If permitted, pets must be under control at all times and are not to be left unattended.

  • Pets must be on a lead at all times when not secured inside your personal tent, camper or vehicle        
  • Pets are not permitted to be inside any of the cabins or camp facilities.

  • Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

  • Owners are liable for any damage caused by their pets.

9. Vehicles & Property

  • Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.

  • vehicles, trailers and boats etc must be parked on your designated site. at times there may be additional on-site parking available at an extra cost.
  • All camp gear must be contained within your designated site.

  • Speed limits within the camp must be observed at all times.

  • Pounawea Motor Camp is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

10. Facilities

  • Camp facilities are provided for the enjoyment of all guests.

  • Please leave shared facilities clean and tidy after use.

  • Any damage caused by guests may be charged to the booking holder.

11. Health & Safety

  • Guests must comply with all posted safety signs and instructions.

  • Any hazards, accidents, or injuries should be reported to management as soon as possible.

  • Use of facilities is at your own risk.

  • All Campervans and caravans must have a current electrical warrant of fitness and comply wit LPG standard NZS 5428:2006.
  • Any person plugging in to or using the camper power outlets, must use an approved power cord.

12. Liability

  • To the extent permitted by law, Pounawea Motor Camp is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience caused during your stay.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

13. Force Majeure

  • Pounawea Motor Camp is not responsible for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to weather events, natural disasters, or government restrictions.

14. Amendments

  • Pounawea Motor Camp reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

  • The Terms & Conditions applicable at the time of booking will apply to your stay.
